Michael Nacht: Update on the War on Terrorism and Iraq
October 28, 2002, 12:00PMOn October 3, 2002, Dean Michael Nacht gave an informal and informational talk on the status of the Bush Administration's efforts to wage war with Iraq. Nacht, as well as Dean and Professor of Public Policy, specializes in U.S. national security policy, international affairs and in management strategies for public organizations. He served from 1994 to 1997 as Assistant Director for Strategic and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency where he led the Agency's work on nuclear arms reduction and missile defense negotiations with Russia and initiated nuclear arms control talks with China. He is the author or co-author of five books and more than sixty other publications in these fields, most recently "National Missile Defense: An American Perspective." He currently chairs an advisory panel for the U.S. Department of Defense on combating terrorism using weapons of mass destruction.
Michael Nacht is the Aaron Wildavsky Dean and Professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley.
